Jewelry Tip of the Week
Personal Style Tip #1 - Your Unique Style and the Sporty Style
You don’t have to hire an image consultant to discern your
unique personal style. Your personality determines your jewelry choices as well
as your apparel decisions and says a lot about who you are. It's up to you to create an image you are comfortable with and one you want to project.

Two of the experts
who brought the idea of image to the forefront of the American psyche are Alyce
Parsons and Diane Parente in their Universal Style System. In their
comprehensive work, they categorized styles into seven types – Sporty,
Traditional, Elegant, Feminine, Alluring, Creative, and Dramatic.
Which one is
the real you? Maybe you are a combination of two or more or perhaps it depends
on the occasion; is it a holiday, wedding, or pool party? Style can also depend
on the situation – business dress, evening out, or sporting event?

The first style type, Sporty, defines an
active woman who doesn’t want jewelry to hamper her activities.
If you aspire
to this style, you would typically wear small pieces like studs that don’t get
in the way of an active lifestyle. Natural materials such as pearls may be a
favorite as well as sports motif charms on short chains and bracelets.
